According to multiple sources, including TMZ, 33-year-old West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was shot multiple times in front of his business, the Marathon Clothing Company, which is located in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles. TMZ and other media outlets confirm that he has since died.
The slain recording artist initially began making a name for himself on the mixtape circuit in the mid-2000’s and was a nominee in the Best Rap Album category at the 2019 Grammy Awards. He leaves behind two children, a daughter, Emani, and a son Kross, whose mother, actress Lauren London gave birth to him in 2016.
Although there is no known motive for Hussle’s death, reports state that police are looking for an unidentified male in his 20’s. Two other victims were shot, but survived.
The rapper was just featured with London in a profile which appeared in GQ Magazine. Accompanying the relationship article is a Couples Quiz where London asks him a series of questions, most of which he gave correct answers. Right On!
