KEEP IT WET! ARE YOU DRINKING ENOUGH WATER?

HOW DO CELEBRITIES STAY HYDRATED!

The way the winter attacked us the end of 2017 going into 2018, most of us couldn’t wait for summer…well, it’s here! The sun is  out, you are going to the beach, grilling some delicious food, hitting the pool or taking a stroll in the park. There’s only one problem: it’s too hot. Some of us aren’t used to this desert-like heat. As a result you’ll need to pay close attention to one important aspect of your health: your hydration.

According to  @AlkalineWaterKing,  our bodies are 60%-70% water and proper hydration is absolutely essential for our overall health. So we thought it would be fun to ask some of your favorite celebrities, “how do you hydrate?” This is what they had to say:

“I really love how drinking Alkalozone Alkaline Water makes me feel. It is my weapon of choice against dehydration and overly acidic conditions in my body. I recommend it to all my clients.”
CEO of Curvy Chick Fitness Charity Lynette

“I drink tons of H20 (water); it’s perfect for total hydration and  it helps you have great skin! And I also love unsweetened iced tea with lemon! Delicious and very flavorful!”
Basketball Wives star Jackie Christie

“Drinking water is probably the most important thing you can do for your body. It’s the foundation of your diet. It keeps your skin looking young, helps you lose weight and just keeps your body working properly. I’ve always been a  water drinker, but today I drink alkaline water because it’s so much better for your body. I drink water with every meal.”
TLC’s Rozanda  “Chilli” Thomas

“I have to travel all the time and I grew up in Miami where it’s always hot. I kept a personal fan that sprays water and a refillable water bottle with me at all times. I am not playing with this heat at all :).”
Love and Hip Hop Miami star Bobby Lytes

“I Drink Coconut Water and add Chi seeds to my diet. I avoid drinks that contain sugar,  and when in doubt, drink more water.”
Track Olympian for Dominican Republic Lavonne Idlette

“I stay healthful and hydrate with my homemade 1-2 week-brewed Kombucha and 1-2 day Water Kefir. Today’s selections featured two kinds: Vanilla and Orange Mint from my garden! Others contain dark chocolate, dried fruit, herbs and berries; whatever smells enticing. My sips are organically flavored after the brewing process that began with tea, organic sugar and Reverse Osmosis & filtered water. Aside from this, I drink lots of ice water. All give me energy throughout the day!”
Actress Pamela Rivers

“Hydration is important to muscle function, and how you perform. If you aren’t hydrated before your workout you are setting yourself behind for your next one. Without proper hydration you are more at risk for muscle pulls and strains. I also believe that it helps with brain function when you are really being pushed to the max.”
New England Patriots Brandon King

“Whether running my sports agency or running the field as an athlete, I have always put a premium on hydration. The very first thing I do early in the morning is drink 30 ounces of H factor water. This helps with my cognitive function and allows me to get the most out of my morning!”
Sports Agent Sean Stellato

“I think the best thing I do to hydrate is drink a whole bottle of water as soon as I wake up. Then I try to keep water in hand throughout the day.” Miami Dolphins Offensive Line – Roubbeens Joseph

“I start every morning by hydrating. My body went the night without water and I know I’ll have a better day if I’m hydrated. Drinking water helps me get through my workouts and helps with my recovery. The key to a successful workout is staying hydrated.”
New England Patriot Marquis Flowers

“Keeping hydrated is massively important to performance. I always make sure I have a bottle of water with me at all times. And even adds electrolytes for after practice.”
Atlanta Falcons Tight End – Alex Gray

“Lime Water 💦 we find it to be refreshing. Sipping water throughout the day keeps my body hydrated without consuming calories or sugar, instead of switching to a flavored beverage, I make my own by squeezing a wedge of fresh lime juice into your glass. Doing so provides a flavorful beverage that won’t harm my health.”
Hip Hop Legend Roxanne Shante

“My go-to for hydration is watermelon and water. When watermelon is in season I eat it throughout the day and can easily consume a half a watermelon in a day. In addition, I try to drink at least 8 cups of water a day in general.”
Singer, songwriter, actress Adina Howard

“People talk about ways of hydrating, but my best way is simple. Good ole H2O!!! I hydrate with Essentia Alkaline water. It’s good water plus good for hydration. Drink close to a gallon a day. I start first thing in the morning.”
Former 12-Year NBA Player Tracy Murray

Editor’s Note: The one thing that everyone we asked had in common is they all believed that water is truly the medicine of life. As you experience all the amazing joys of summer, remember to drink plenty of water and eat a diet rich in  whole fruits and vegetables to keep you going all summer long. Your body will thank you!
