We are devastated to learn that Jacksons’ dad, Joseph Jackson, has died at age 89. He was a long-time personal friend of Right On! Magazine and Right On! Digital’s CEO Cynthia Horner who met him when she first became the editor of Right On! Magazine. Mr. Jackson, fondly known as Papa Joe to many of the Jacksons’ fans, had been ill for the past several years. His legacy in the music business began when this astute individual recognized the talent of his five sons and propelled them to stardom. The Jacksons became household legends and Mr. Jackson went on to inspire his youngest children, Janet and Randy, to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. Mr. Jackson’s legacy will be remembered in a special feature written by Cynthia Horner with accompanying photography by Kenneth Harris, Chief Media and Marketing Officer of Right On! Digital. Joseph Jackson is survived by Mrs. Katherine Jackson.
