Throughout four episodes, TV One’s new limited crime and justice series “Evidence Of Innocence” has highlighted the unbelievable true stories of people who experienced the life-altering nightmare of being sentenced to prison for something they didn’t do. In the “Evidence Of Innocence”
finale on Monday, June 25 at 10/9C, Attorney Benjamin Crump meets daycare operator Melonie Ware as she fights for freedom after being wrongly accused of killing an infant.

The backstory: In 2004, Melonie Ware realized her dream of running a daycare facility from her home. When an infant mysteriously dies in her care, Melonie’s life spirals out of control. Doctors and police say she killed the child in a fit of rage. Sentenced to life in prison, Melonie is terrorized by her fellow prison inmates as a child killer. Unwilling to let his wife suffer in a living hell, Melonie’s husband risks the family’s life savings to overturn her conviction. With prosecutors determined to keep her behind bars, will Melonie ever see freedom?

The series is  hosted by acclaimed civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, with Emmy and NAACP Image Award winner Rushion McDonald of 3815 Media joining as the series executive producer and creator, in partnership with Jupiter Entertainment. Each one-hour episode gives an in-depth look to the journey of one wrongfully convicted man or woman – Lisa Roberts, Richard Miles, Melonie Ware and Mark Schand. “The show…casts a revealing light on one of the grossest injustices regularly produced by the nation’s flawed criminal justice system: the incarceration of the innocent,” said Michael Fletcher of The Undefeated. Each episode highlights the enormous challenge of maintaining faith while fighting to prove their innocence.
