Latto and Doja Cat have teamed up for the official music video for “Okayyy,” a track from Latto’s fourth studio album, “Big Mama,” which is out now!
The 18-track album marks Latto’s biggest album streaming debut to date and features collaborations with Teyana Taylor, Doja Cat, Wizkid, Sexyy Red and more. Latto has described the album as a project created during a major transition in her life, as she discovered she was pregnant while making the record and became a first-time mother.
“Big Mama” follows Latto’s 2024 album “Sugar Honey Iced Tea,” which made history when it became the first album by a solo female rapper from Atlanta to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart. The album also reached the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 and earned Latto a North American tour with special guests Mariah The Scientist and Karrahbooo.
The new era continues Latto’s momentum as she builds on more than 6.4 billion streams worldwide and a growing list of accolades. She has received three Grammy nominations and was named BET’s Best Female Hip-Hop Artist in 2023. She has also been recognized by Billboard’s Women in Music with the Powerhouse Award and named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30.
Latto previously made history with “Big Energy,” becoming the first female rapper to reach No. 1 on Pop, Rhythm and Urban radio with a single. Her albums “Queen of Da Souf,” “777” and “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” have all earned Gold certification.
With “Big Mama,” Latto continues to highlight her Atlanta roots while exploring a new chapter of her music and personal life. The album features her signature rap style alongside vibrant visuals and collaborations with some of today’s biggest artists.
