‘Raising Kanan’ Heats Up With Addition of Vet Actor Joe Pantoliano

The fifth and final season of STARZ’s “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” is heating up even more with the addition of veteran actor Joe Pantoliano (“The Matrix,” “Wonder Man,” “The Sopranos”), who joins the series in a recurring guest role as “Pino Bernardi.” The head of the Manhattan Mafia, Bernardi is supremely self-assured and the epitome of the old adage, “speak softly and carry a big stick.” He doesn’t need to tell you he’s a boss, because you know it already.

Last season ended on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, as Kanan (Mekai Curtis) stood with a gun trained on his mother, Raq (Patina Miller). Fueled by rage, he is ready to make Raq pay the ultimate price. While Raq’s fate remains uncertain, “Power” Universe fans can expect an emotionally charged season ahead, packed with grit and intensity. As storylines deepen, Season Five reinforces a core truth — that every decision, every betrayal and every triumph comes with a cost. All four seasons of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” are available to stream now on the STARZ app, and all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms.

In a career spanning more than five decades, Joe Pantoliano has amassed an impressive catalog of classic American film and television titles which have made him a household name. In addition to roles in critically acclaimed feature films, such as The MatrixBound and The Fugitive, Pantoliano’s television work includes the groundbreaking premium cable series “The Sopranos,” for which he earned the 2003 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Most recently, Pantoliano was featured in the fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, “Dexter: Original Sin,” Marvel’s “Wonder Man,” and his Emmy nominated role in “The Last of Us.”
