Celine Dion announced last December that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, which causes people to have muscle spasms and stiff muscles in their arms, legs and torso, which affected Dion’s ability to sing and walk. She had rescheduled her 2023 and 2024 tour dates due to the diagnosis and ultimately cancelled the tour for good in May.
Her sister shared an updating saying, “I honestly think that she mostly needs to rest. She always goes above and beyond, she always tries to be the best and top of her game.” She also mentions that her sister is “listening to the top researchers in the field of this rare disease as much as possible.”
