Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor known best for “Nothing Compares 2 U” and her stunning voice, has passed at 56 in a statement verified by her family. The statement says “”It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
O’Connor has struggled with mental health issues in the past and has posted on social media sites to write about her battle with it and has brought up suicide more than once. She will be remembered by her beloved music around the world and was truly a one of a kind talent.
