Australian songsmith and producer PJ Harding announces debut EP To Fall Asleep set for release on June 16th and shares his first solo single “It Wasn’t Enough” out now via RECORDS/RCA Records. Listen HERE.

The tender acoustic-driven track is an ode to the human condition and how it impacts our search for meaning and happiness in the world. “It Wasn’t Enough” is the latest offering from PJ since working with Noah Cyrus on her 2020 EP THE END OF EVERYTHING, followed by their collaborative EP People Don’t Change in 2021 and executive producing Noah’s critically acclaimed debut album The Hardest Part in 2022.

Speaking on the single, PJ says, “I often find myself trying to write songs about things that are difficult to talk about. I think it’s because when you talk about something (or when I do) I feel a certain amount of pressure to make sense. To sort out the feelings and the thoughts and find meaning. But life mostly doesn’t make sense and songs don’t really need to either. I think “It Wasn’t Enough” is a song that gets to the heart of something very true about the human condition and doesn’t necessarily make a lot of sense. It’s really one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. I only recorded one take of this vocal and it was recorded seconds after I finished writing the song. There was something magic about that moment I didn’t want to mess with.”
