K-Pop idol Jennie of Blackpink is set to appear in the upcoming HBO series by creators Sam Levinson and artist The Weeknd, starring Lily Rose-Depp. While there has been no set date for the show, the production features a “self-help guru and cult leader who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.
“I found the script very intriguing, so I wanted to be part of the series,” says the K-Pop star, and feels “very excited” about the project as it will be one of her so-called first legitimate acting debuts. The first teaser released on July 17th, where Jennie is seen three times, briefly in a choreographed dance rehearsal at timestamps 0:28, 0:33 and 0:59. While not much is known about her role yet, fans around the world are still extremely happy for her Hollywood debut!
