Blackpink, Jack Harlow, Lizzo and Måneskin were added to the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards live performance lineup, which will be live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday, August 28th at 8PM ET/PT.
The internationally loved K-Pop sensation, Blackpink, will have their first U.S. performance of their new song “Pink Venom” on the VMAs stage. They became “he first K-Pop girl group to take home a Moon Person (“Song of the Summer”)” in 2020 and “look to take home a second in the all-new “Best Metaverse Performance” category.” Group member Lisa is also the first solo female K-Pop star and Korean soloist to ever be nominated.
Jack Harlow is also returning after an unforgettable performance with Lil Nas X with their collaboration of the mega-hit “Industry Baby”. This is his first solo performance at the VMAs and tied for most nominations this year at 7.
Lizzo previously performed during the 2019 VMAs with an epic mashup of “Good As Hell” and “Truth Hurts” and is set to perform “2 Be Loved” from her critically acclaimed new album “Special”.
Måneskin, the Italian glam rock band, had an amazing performance and won “Best Rock” at the 2021 VMAs and will have their first debut performance of their number one alternative hit single “Supermodel”. They are also nominated for two awards, “Best New Artist” & “Best Alternative”, being the first Italian act to be nominated in a main category.
