Ashton Kutcher says he’s “Lucky To Be Alive”, Reveals Autoimmune Disorder

In an exclusive sneak peek of an upcoming episode from National Geographic’s “Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge”, Ashton Kutcher spoke about how he had an autoimmune disorder and how it affect him and his health. “Like two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis, that like knocked out my vision, it knocked out my hearing, it knocked out like all my equilibrium, It took me about a year to build it all back up again. You don’t really appreciate it, until it’s gone. Until you go, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again. I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again. I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again” and also notes how lucky he is to be alive to Grylls.

He had a rare form of a condition called vasculitis, a disease that causes inflammation of blood vessels, which restricts blood flow and could possibly lead to organ and tissue damage. Fortunately now, he’s been better than ever and still remains an optimistic outlook on life!
