MTV Video Music Awards 2022 Nomination List Fully Revealed

MTV just announced their stacked nominees for the 2022 VMA’s that features many popular artists along with 26 first-time nominees that may have received more than one nomination. Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X have the most nominations with seven this year, while Doja Cat and Harry Styles have six, and Billie Eillish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd received five. Madonna, the artist with the most award wins in MTV history with twenty, has also become the only artist to be nominated within the VMA’s five decades (from 1980s-2020s) and also earned her 69th nomination with her music video “Madame X”.

The awards show will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey to an audience of live fans on Sunday, August 28th at 8PM ET/PT and will air across MTV’s digital platforms, reaching an audience of over 422 million households in almost 30 languages and 170+ countries. It will also be available as simulcast on The CW Network, BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand and VH1.

Fans are also able to vote for their favorite artists across 22 gender-neutral categories that include “Video of the Year”. “Artist of the Year”, “Best Collaboration” and more on vote.mtv.com from now until August 19th. Check out the nomination list below.
