One of the most successful labels in hip-hop history – Young Money Records – has announced its newest signee – breakout rapper Mellow Rackz. The 20-year-old South Florida native is the first act to be added to the star-studded label roster as Young Money Records revamps. She started growing a fan base when she dropped the hard-hitting, female empowering track and music video “Diamonds” (watch HERE).

“I’m so honored to be part of Young Money! I can’t wait to carry on the legacy that they’ve already built! ITZ RACKZ!!” says Mellow Rackz.

To celebrate the signing, Young Money founder Lil Wayne hosted a big party at LIV Miami over the weekend, where he officially knighted Mellow Rackz with a Young Money chain. She also delivered a show-stopping performance at the club.

Founded by five-time GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum rap icon Lil Wayne, Young Money Records has catapulted the careers of some of the biggest names in music, including Nicki Minaj and Drake. As Young Money Records continues to rebuild, President Mack Maine is focused on fostering its emerging talent, as well as signing new acts. Young Money Records is distributed by Republic Records and Universal Music Group.

“Mellow is a special talent! She has the “IT” factor, the intangibles you can’t teach. She’s talented, multifaceted and full of potential. Wayne and I are excited about this one. Stay tuned!” says Mack Maine.
