On Episode 8, entitled “The Cost Of Business,” which will air on Starz on September 12, 2021, Kanan will struggle with a harsh truth after word gets back to his mom that he’s behind the bad crack on the streets. Written by Tash Gray and directed by Hernán Otaño, the episode will conclude with some surprises. What’s not surprising is that Jukebox’s girlfriend doesn’t make it out of the first season alive!
Fans don’t have to worry about missing a beat with “Raising Kanan” as STARZ has greenlit a second season of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.”
Set in South Jamaica Queens in the early ‘90s, the prequel about the early years of the now-deceased iconic “Power” character Kanan Stark, portrayed in the original “Power” series by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, will be back! Just what fans wanted!
“One season isn’t enough to tell the coming of age story of Kanan Stark and his mother, Raq, a fierce and successful woman who is a force of nature,” said Jeffrey Hirsch, President and CEO of STARZ. “The anticipation globally for more of the ‘Power’ Universe made it clear that the Kanan story needs to continue.”
