Rickey Smiley x John P. Kee Praise 2021 Super Bowl Gospel Celebration

Tune into the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, a 22-year old franchise founded by a Black woman, Melanie Few, which remains the only multicultural event sanctioned by the NFL. This year’s program airs February 6, 2021 at 8/7c on BET.

Hosted by national radio and TV personality Rickey Smiley, the show will include performances by the NFL Players Choir, John P. Kee, Kierra Sheard, Voices of Fire presented by Pharrell Williams, Erica Campbell, PJ Morton, Koryn Hawthorne and Zacardi Cortez.

 

Highlights include an opening prayer by Pastor Mike Todd. Inspirational message from award-winning actor Courtney B. Vance.

And what’s even special is the fact that some NFL Players have joined the lineup! Dallas Cowboy QB Dak Prescott and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady have joined the All-Star lineup of NFL players who will congratulate Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson on receiving this year’s “Faith In Action” Award. Watson will be honored for his philanthropic work to support underserved youth and families. Celebrated NFL running back Warrick Dunn will present the award to Watson during the broadcast.

Additional players set to inspire the audience with testimonials around the show theme “Nothing Can Stop Us” include the following popular sports figures:

  • Baltimore Ravens QB – Lamar Jackson
  • Cleveland Browns WR –  Odell Beckham
  • Carolina Panthers QB  –  Teddy Bridgewater
  • Indianapolis Colts QB – Jacoby Brissett
  • Philadelphia Eagles WR – Desean Jackson
