Naomi Campbell x Cipriani Donate Meals To NYC Hospital Workers

International supermodel, activist and philanthropist Naomi Campbell  partnered with Cipriani Restaurant NYC, an international hospitality brand, to spearhead a holiday food drive, affectionately called Nourishment With Naomi. The mission behind the food drive is to donate food gift bags with all the ingredients to prepare for lunch or dinner to hospital frontline workers that have been working tirelessly during the holiday season due to COVID-19. Five hospitals across New York City received pre-packaged and prepared meals last week.

HOSPITALS RECEIVING 200 PACKAGES EACH INCLUDED:

  • Mt. Sinai Hospital – Manhattan
  • Montefiore Hospital – The Bronx
  • Harlem Hospital – Harlem, New York
  • Coney Island Hospital – Brooklyn
  • Elmhurst Hospital – Queens

“Thank you for devoting yourself to being a frontline worker during the pandemic of COVID-19,” says Campbell. “I wanted to acknowledge and appreciate the risk you have been taking these past nine months to keep New York City safe. Please enjoy this small token of appreciation as a form of gratitude for your hard work and efforts during these difficult times.”

Independent research indicated that the selected hospitals dealt with some of the highest COVID-19 cases and had some of the most overworked staff on record. Earlier in 2020, Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital, the latter of which became known by March as the “center of the center,” faced devastating equipment and room shortages.

Campbell, a long-time health advocate, holds this cause near to her heart!
