How did he get involved with the  competitive ABC-TV series? Sources close to Nelly confirm he had been asked for years to do “Dancing With The Stars,” but his schedule was always so full with touring and filming that it wasn’t possible. This time,  however, COVID-19 halted touring,  so he thought, “there may not be another time like this, so let’s do this!”   He was also challenged by friends that he couldn’t do it or couldn’t win it–so with all the stars aligned, he  said, “let’s go!!”
