H&H Entertainment artist Butch Lang was so impacted by the recent tragedy in his hometown that he put his storytelling skills to work and crafted a hit single that has become a viral social media sensation. The compelling song, “I Run With Ahmaud,” is dedicated to Ahmaud Arbery, 25, who was fatally shot while jogging in a neighborhood near Brunswick in Glynn County, Georgia. Arbery was relentlessly pursued by white men in a pickup truck. The visual captures the outcry and protests of justice seekers as well as debuts a mural of the slain former athlete.
H&H cofounders Alfonso and Joseph Hart collectively share, “it was incumbent upon us as businessmen and community servants to leverage our celebrity to honor the memory of Arbery.” Brunswick has garnered global attention due to the handling of the case and the continued senseless killings of Black men. The Hart brothers also own the historic Wigfall building where the portrait of Arbery was painted. It is about 9 miles from the Satilla Shores neighborhood where Arbery was gunned down and it will soon be the home of the Brunswick African American Cultural Center.
