John Legend Kicks Off Summer at Atlantis Paradise Island

 

Atlantis Paradise Island, the entertainment capital of the Caribbean, celebrated Memorial Day Weekend and the start of the summer season in star-studded style. EGOT-winner John Legend performed an intimate concert launching the resort’s 2025 Atlantis: LIVE Music Making Waves series, cementing the resort as the ultimate celebrity summer destination.

Fresh off the season 27 finale of The Voice, Legend headed straight to Paradise to deliver a special one-night-only solo performance – just him and his piano. His 90-minute set featured stripped-down renditions of fan favorites including “Tonight (Best You Ever Had),” “Green Light,” “Wonder Woman,” “Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” “Ordinary People,” and more, interwoven with personal stories and reflections on his legendary career. Throughout the night, childhood photos played behind him, offering fans a rare glimpse into the moments that defined his musical journey.

A standout moment came when Legend performed a cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky,” recalling a memory of celebrating Wonder’s birthday at The Cove in 2007. He shared how he performed the song for Stevie that night and reprised it in tribute to his friend and their unforgettable shared experience in paradise.

He closed the night with a heartfelt rendition of “All of Me,” dedicated to his wife Chrissy Teigen (who was not in attendance following hairline surgery), accompanied by touching home footage from their wedding day, a moment that drew audible reactions from the sold-out crowd of resort guests, visitors and locals. After the show, Legend retired to his luxury suite at The Cove before heading out on his 40-stop Get Lifted: 20th Anniversary Tour.

Adding to the undeniable star power at Atlantis over the holiday weekend, iHeartRadio host and EXTRA correspondent Tommy DiDario joined the sold-out crowd for Legend’s beachfront concert. Legend was also spotted catching up with actor and comedian Tommy Davidson.
