Check out SZA at BET’s 25th Anniversary Awards. If you had trouble finding her, just follow the trail of vibrant red hair. The Grammy Award singer took a short break from her whirlwind tour with KendricK Lamar to make a memorable appearance at #CulturesBiggestNight.
Loved for her music and transcendent style, SZA celebrated as she took home an award for Best R&B/Pop Female Artist.
Known for being in her radiant ‘bold era’, SZA turned heads with vibrant, fiery tresses, a bold statement in red color, created by celebrity hairstylist Devante Turnbull. The look was brought to life using Dark and Lovely Fade Resist Vivacious Red and Go Intense Spicy Red shades.

- I began by spraying the hair with the Molecular Repair Hair Mist, which helps prevent damage during the coloring process
- Next, I mixed the developer blending both Dark and Lovely Fade Resist Vivacious Red and Go Intense Spicy Red colors to create a rich dimensional shade.
- I applied the mixture to dry, sectioned hair, smoothing the color from roots to ends. For precise root application, I used a small detailing brush.
- After processing, I washed the hair with Damage Shield Shampoo and followed up with the Molecular Repair Hair Mask, letting it sit for four minutes.
- I then dried the hair using a blow dryer and diffuser, and styled it. For added volume, I used the Astro Lift Volume Spray while the hair was flipped upside down.
