Lifetime’s newest “Ripped from the Headlines” original movies are set to captivate audiences with gripping real-life stories featuring stars Dascha Polanco and Paige Hurd.
Dascha Polanco is best known for her roles in ‘Orange is the New Black’ and ‘Poker Face,’ and now she leads the cast of Terror Comes Knocking: The Marcela Borges Story. The film, premiering on January 11, tells the chilling tale of Marcela Borges, a pregnant woman who must protect her family from armed robbers demanding $200,000. The onslaught turns their idyllic suburban weekend into a horrific ordeal.

Paige Hurd takes the spotlight the following week with the premiere of Girl in the Garage: The Laura Cowan Story on January 18. The movie follows Laura Cowan’s daunting story of survival.
